Do
Copenhagen
is Scandinavia’s
largest and liveliest city. It features a large number of cultural
and historic attractions, as well as an abundance of museums,
galleries, cafes and restaurants, parks, gardens and squares.
Highlights include Radhuspladsen, Copenhagen’s main square,
Stroget, the world’s longest pedestrian street, the Musical
History Museum, the Nationalmuseet museum, Amalienborg Palace,
the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek museum, The Erotica Museum, Helligandskirke,
one of Copenhagen’s oldest churches and The Free City of
Christiania.
Apart from
Copenhagen, the region of Zealand offers dramatic fjords and
endless sandy beaches. The town of Roskilde features the Viking
Ship Museum.
Funen is Denmark’s second
largest island featuring an idyllic rural landscape. Odense,
the largest town on the island, was the birthplace of Hans Christian

are two islands connected to Zealand by bridges. Mon features
the dramatic 128 metre Mons Klint chalk cliffs and the nearby

on the right. Two major bridges in Denmark charge tolls. No other
tolls exist. Headlights must be on at all times. Only hands free
mobile phones are permitted while driving.
Danish roads
are quite good and a motorway network exists. On motorways, emergency
telephones are available every 2km.
