STI - Motorhome Hire in USA

Availability is extremely limited over the Summer months,
but as we offer the widest choice, we are more than likely to find you a vehicle.

Please note: STI specialise in long-term rentals. The minimum rental period is 60 days.

The following is included in the daily rental rate:
- Motorhome rental
- 100 miles per day
- Preparation fee
- Convenience kits (which includes bedding, flatware, silverware, pots and pans, etc)
- Local taxes and registration fees of 10%

Please note: CDR insurance is compulsory and is payable on pick up
Costs between USD $7-8 per day depending on vehicle type

Convenience Kits:
We do provide convenience kits at no charge for all campervans, motorhomes and econovans. This is included in the daily rental rate.

Preparation fee:
Preparation fee is included in the daily rental rate.

One Way Fee - New York:
Any One Way including New York is on request basis and will be advised.

Extra Miles:
100 miles per day are included in the daily rental rate. Extra miles are priced at the following:

Bicycle Rental:
Bicycles and bicycle racks are available for rent for USD 45 (~45~) (+ tax) each. They are usually only available from the Seattle, Los Angeles, and Vancouver stations, but can be requested at any other station, and some freight charges may apply.

Insurances / Deductibles:
Rentals carry liability insurance with statutory limits directly to the customer and indirectly up to USD 1,000,000 (~1000000~) through STI. Collision Damage Reduction is Compulsory and can be purchased through CDR Coverages on pick up which will reduce your risk down to deductibles. In any case of liability or collision the customer is responsible for the first USD 800 (~800~). If customer is under 25 years of age the responsibility is USD 1500 (~1500~). Theft deductible is USD 2000 (~2000~). For any accident or theft there would be a need of a police report or coverages will not apply. For theft customer must be in possession of the key and later research must proof that vehicle was properly locked.
 

Liability Insurance
Secondary liability insurance with statutory limits is included in the daily rate.

Exemption of coverage
Unlimited responsibility for negligent damage. "negligent damage" refers to accidents caused as a result of drivers negligence and includes but is not limited to: accidents occurring off road (in camping grounds, parking lots, service stations, unpaved roads), accidents while backing up, roof damage and undercarriage damage.

Deposit:
A required deposit of USD $2000 (~2000~) at the time of pick up can be made by credit card. We make an imprint of your credit card, no charge will be executed. We also accept cash or traveler checks.

Drivers license and age:
Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and in possession of their valid national driver license (international license is NOT required). All pricing includes 2 drivers. Any extra driver needs to be authorized and a small fee might apply.

Unauthorized extension of the rental period:
Should a customer keep the vehicle beyond the contracted period, charges up to USD $300 (~300~) (+ tax) per day will apply. However , if customer contacts the head office and obtains proper authorization to extend, the regular contracted rate will apply. (authorization of extension are granted on availability basis only!)

Overseas customers must not overnight anymore on arrival day. Same day pickup is possible. Just be aware, that transcontinental airlines arrive late in the afternoon and free transfer most of the time is not possible anymore. Customer must arrive not later than 11’00 AM at the airport to make it to the free shuttle. For late pickups on first day, customer must be on rental location not later than 16’00 o’clock.

For Free Transfer customer must call not later than the same morning between 0900 and 1000 o’clock and we will arrange a transfer. Usually transfers will be done between 1200h to 1300h on the first route and between 1400h to 1500h the second route if the first route is full. We reserve the right to change pickup time without prior notice.

Pickup hours: 12:00 to 5:00pm

Dropoff hours: 9:00 to 11:00am

There is no free transfer service for late dropoffs. (shuttle is leaving exactly 11:00h).
Customer should call location before coming on location even when customer is doing is own transfer.

No refund will be made for early returns, late pickups or any unused portion of rental.

Transfers and office hours:
We will contact each customer by email or telephone prior to arrival and discuss transfer possibilities. Here are the general rules.

SEA (Seattle) MAIN OFFICE
PU and DO times are very flexible and available 7 days a week, except holidays and special black out dates. Station is located inside a Campground in Grayland with free transfers to and from Seattle Airport (transfer time about 2 hours)

LAX (Los Angeles)
PU time early afternoon and DO time 0900-1100 am. Shuttle to Airport Area leaves 11- 1200 am. Office open regular daytime hours Monday to Friday and 0900-1200 Saturday.

YVR (Vancouver BC)
We have no station in YVR and usually meet customer at the Vancouver Amtrak station or an airport hotel to our choosing. Transfer procedures will be discussed individually with each customer beforehand.

SFO (San Francisco)
We have no station in SFO and usually meet customer at a BART train station or motel in the Hayward area of our choosing with good connection to downtown or airport San Francisco. Transfer procedures will be discussed individually with each customer beforehand.

NYC (New York) - SPECIAL REQUESTS ONLY
PU time early afternoon and DO time 0900-1100 am. Shuttle to Airport Area leaves 11- 1200 am. Office open regular daytime hours Monday to Friday and 0900-1200 Saturday. This station services the NEWARK (EWR) Airport

All other locations
Transfer procedures will be discussed individually with each customer beforehand.

Early returns:
No refund for early returns or late pick ups.

Return of vehicle:
Vehicle has to be returned in same condition as received or charges might apply. The interior has to be perfectly clean the same way as received. (except floors which just has to be wiped out). The exterior can be returned with regular street dust. All Fuel tanks need to be brought back full (gasoline and propane)
