The
following is Included in the daily rental rates:
A quality Road Bear vehicle, Mileage as selected and specified above, Insurance
with an excess of USD 1000 . Any Additonal Extras as requested.
The
following are payable at time of collection, if
applicable:

PICK UP AND RETURN:
Vehicle pick up time is between 12:00 noon and 4:00pm. Vehicle return time
is between 8:00 am and 10:30 am. A charge of USD 30 per hour applies
for a late vehicle return. Clients will not be entitled to get a complementary
transfer after 11am.

The
Vehicle Provisioning Kit includes a flashlight, can opener,
bottle opener, broom with dust pan, plastic pail, spatula,
cooking spoon, cooking fork, coffee cups, tumblers, plates,
soup bowls, silverware, platter, tea kettle, colander,
mixing bowl, and a cookware set. All item must be returned
clean at end of trip.

GENERATOR:

NEW
JERSEY SECURITY FEE:
USD 5 per day applies to all New York City pick
ups, maximum of USD 140 per booking. This fee is
payable at the depot.
IMPORTANT
NOTE:
Clients cannot pick up the vehicle the day they arrive from overseas. We
recommend that the customers spend the first night at an airport hotel
or motel.
1.) All
Stations offer complimentary shuttle service from
/ to certain International Airports and Airport
Hotels between 11 AM and 1 PM.
2.) No
transfers after 1:00 PM
3.) Please
call the rental station upon arrival at your hotel
or by 10:00 AM on the pick-up day at the latest
to arrange for pick-up time and location.
4.) Transfers
are between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM
5.) Clients
cannot pick up the vehicle the day they arrive
from overseas!!.
6.) We
recommend staying the first night at an airport
hotel or motel.
7.) Clients
are not entitled to a complimentary transfer in
case of late vehicle return. The
shuttle leaves the depot at 11 AM, meaning that
the drop off has to be completed by that time.

DRIVER
REQUIREMENTS:
A valid national driver's license is required for each driver. In addition
we
recommend that foreign customers have an international driver's license or
an English translation of the license
issued by their home country. All drivers must meet the age requirement indicated
on the rate sheet.
ADDITIONAL
DRIVERS:
No extra charge for additional drivers.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
If for any reason the booked vehicle should not be available, ROAD BEAR RV
reserves the right to substitute a higher-rated vehicle at no additional
cost. Should a lower-rated vehicle be substituted, the liability is limited
to the refund of the gross rate difference of the two vehicles.
CLEANING
FEE:
The clients are responsible to return the vehicle with the interior cleaned.
Cleaning charges with a USD 50 minimum will apply otherwise. USD
50 will be charged if holding tanks are not empty upon return.
TOWING:
Towing does not cost anything extra. The limit is 1000 lbs with the trailer.
The customer has to find a trailer themselves.
PARKING
/ TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS:
It is the clients responsibility to report and pay for all parking/traffic
violations at check-in. Failing to report these violations at drop off will
cause a charge of an administrative fee of USD 100 plus the fine
(including all late charges) to the clients credit card.
TRANSFERS:
Please have the customer complete the “Road Bear Speed Pass” to
expedite the vehicle pick up procedure. Clients must call the rental station upon
arrival or the latest at the pick up day between 08.00 am and 10.00 am
to schedule the transfer time and place. Transfers are provided to and from
the international airports and/or airport s LAX, SFO, OAK, LAS, DEN. EWR
( not to/from JFK or La Guardia )and or airport hotels at all rental locations.
For San Francisco/Denver clients can be picked up in downtown for an
extra charge of USD 35 otherwise airport transfer is free of
charge. Transfers will be provided from Monday to Saturday between 11.00
am and 1.00 pm the latest. There will be no transfers after 1:00 pm. The
complimentary permitted amount of luggage is in accordance with the airline
regulations (2 suitcases @ 50 pds/23 kg plus 2 pieces of hand luggage per
person). Excessive luggage is the customer’s responsibility.
FUEL
INFORMATION:
The cost of gasoline, propane and oil is not included and ROAD BEAR RV does
not assume responsibility for estimates of consumption. All vehicles are
delivered with full tanks and the customer is expected to return the vehicle
with full tanks or will be charged accordingly.
MAINTENANCE:
The customer is responsible for checking engine oil and coolant levels at
each refueling as well as reporting mechanical failures immediately. Coolant
refills and authorized repairs will be reimbursed upon return of the vehicle
and presentation of all receipts (see Mechanical Breakdown). It is the driver's
responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner and to exercise all
caution possible.
MECHANICAL
BREAKDOWN:
For repairs exceeding USD 50 (50) the customer must call the ROAD BEAR RV
24-hour toll free telephone assistance to get an authorization. Non-authorized
repairs over USD 50 (50.00) will not be reimbursed. Receipts must be presented
for reimbursement. Customer will be held responsible for mechanical damage
due to
negligence in operation and/or maintenance.
INSURANCE:
Public Liability Insurance (included in the
daily rental rate)
Public Liability Insurance to cover accidents in the event that the renter
is at fault. The policy protects the rental company up to USD 1,000,000
and the renter to Statutory Limits (State mandated minimum liability coverage).
SLI
(Supplemental Liability Insurance)
The optional SLI coverage provides the customer with an increased limit of
liability protection. SLI protects the renter and any authorized driver
listed on the rental contract for up to USD 1,000,000 toward 3rd party damage
claims. Additional liability coverage can be purchased as describe below:
SLI - Provides the customer with an increased limit protection up to one
million dollars .

Coverage (included in the daily rate)
Public
liability insurance covering accidents in the event that
the renter is at fault. The policy protects the
renter up to the statutory limits (= state mandated minimum coverage).
A
US$ 1000.00 deductible per incident applies for all accidental
damages: "accidental damage" includes but
is not limited to: (i) motor vehicle accident; (ii) vehicle theft; (iii) vandalism;
(iv) fire; (v) windshield & glass
damage
If
renter's motor home vacation is interrupted by an automotive
mechanical breakdown for more than 12
working hours after reporting such to ROAD BEAR RV, the renter will be reimbursed
for the greater of: i) the
gross nightly rate or: ii) expenses for hotel rooms up to US$ 25.00 per person
per night and car rental up to
US$ 50.00 per day per motor home to a maximum of US$ 1500.00 per tour. Receipts
for all incurred
expenses must be presented for refund. Radio, TV/VCR/DVD, generator, air condition,
fridge, cruise
control, awning, slide-out & automatic entry step malfunction, etc. are
not considered to be mechanical
breakdowns.
The
Following losses are not covered if damage is caused
by:
Deliberate
or willful damage caused by renter or guests
Interior
damages
Failure
to maintain all fluid levels
Failure
to use specified fuel
Damage
caused by freezing of the vehicles systems (when
temperatures are below freezing, it is not
permitted to fill the water tanks)
Driving
under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Traveling
off-road or in restricted areas
Carrying
more passengers than having seat belts available
Operation
by anyone not listed on the rental contract
Operation
by anyone not meeting the age requirement shown on
the rate sheet
Personal
contents are never covered
IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT
The customer must obtain a local police report as provided by the attending
police officer investigating the accident. An accident report form is supplied
to the customer and is located in the vehicle along with the registration- & insurance
papers.
ROAD BEAR RV must be notified as soon as possible. A full-written report
along with the other party's name, address, phone number and driver's license
number on the supplied accident report form will be required upon return
of the vehicle.
All documents relating to the accident must include a police report- or identifying
number. Insurance coverage may be void if the above instructions are not
followed.
UNAUTHORIZED
EXTENSION OF THE RENTAL PERIOD:
Should a customer keep the vehicle beyond the contracted period USD
30 (30.00) per hour or USD 300 (300) per day late charges will apply.
However, if the customer contacts ROAD BEAR RV and obtains the proper authorization
to extend, only the normal rate will apply.
ACCIDENTS
/ COLLISION:
In the event of an accident, you must notify Travelers Assistance immediately
from the scene of the accident. You will be given instructions on how to
proceed.
You must also obtain a police or bench report. If you are unable to obtain
a police report at the scene of the accident, you must go to the local police
station and obtain a bench report. We will accept either report.
CUSTOMER
ORIENTATION:
Location staff speaks German and English at all locations - Dutch, French,
Italian on some locations. After completing the paperwork the clients get
a very thorough explanation of the recreational vehicle. In case of an
emergency, accident or technical problems, clients may call the emergency
toll free number 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.
STORAGE:
We provide free storage of luggage at the rental station at clients own
risk.
RESTRICTIONS:
Pets: Pets are not allowed.
Smoking: Smoking is not allowed in any vehicle. USD 250
(250) cleaning/deodorizing fee applies.
Mexico: Traveling into Mexico is not permitted
Death Valley: Traveling into Death Valley is not permitted
between June 15th and September 15th
Alaska: Traveling within Alaska, Yukon and/or NWT is permitted.
ROAD BEAR must be advised at the time of reservation.
Other: Private-, gravel-, dirt- or logging roads and other
non-public roads, beaches, etc. Inner city of New York / Montreal & Quebec
City (Canada)
ROAD BEAR RV will hold the
customer responsible for accidents
or mechanical breakdowns occurring
in a travel restricted area!
